Most of the activities happen on the beach, so you won’t need much: bathing suit, flip flops, sunscreen, insect repellent, your toilet kit, towel, sweatshirt, shorts and long trousers, in case it gets a bit chilly.
Bring a camera because you’ll always want a souvenir of your surf camp and some money if you want to book an extra tour, walk around town, buy an ice cream, etc.
As for the documents we recommend bringing: your ID and health card.
Sure, it's always good to use the boards that you're more familiar with and, this way, evolve on them. At The Surf School we have loads of surfboards of different sizes, so even if you bring your stuff, if you feel like trying other boards you can still go for it.
The Surf School / Surf Camp welcomes all age groups, boys / girls, seniors and children who want to learn how Surf. Normally during the summer months (July) most common ages range from 10 to 18 years old, with an average of 15-16 years old. Book now your surf camp for kids, teenagers and/or young people.
However we believe it's never too late to learn how to surf and in recent years the demand of adults that want to come to the Surf Camps has been impressive (especially in August and September). Book now your surf camp for adults.
Not at all, our learning program can be adapted to the level of each student. Whether you are a beginner or an improver, the lessons will be tailored to your current level.
Students are monitored in groups of no more than 6 students per instructor, this way we ensure a one-to-one approach with maximum safety.
We like to build a relationship based on mutual trust between instructors and students, but there are simple and clear compliance rules about schedules, noise, safety, and night-time curfew that if the minor breaks, will be sent home without the right to any refund. We do not make exceptions.
If you come by yourself or your parents drive you here: You have to get to Berria Beach in Santoña (Cantabria). This is where the Surf School and Surf Camp are located.
If you arrive by Air / Rail or Bus: We offer pick up and drop off service to the stations and airports in Santander / Bilbao. We guarantee to pick them up on the day of arrival and see them to their seats on the day of departure.
It’s more convenient that students arrive at Santander Airport, it is closer and easier for every one. (Cost 25€ one way/person).
*Bilbao: We are 84Km away from Bilbao, for that reason transfers to/from this city have a price of 30€ per person).
