SURFING FOR BEGINNERS

If you are looking for a beginner surf course, you are in the right place. At Berria Surf School our main activity is teaching this sport from scratch.

Furthermore, when you book with us, we will give you all the instructions you need to take your first steps in surfing thanks to our expert instructors who teach these classes.

Surfing requires a precise technique, and to learn it, you will need to be guided by a professional. So it doesn't matter if you've never had contact with a board because here you will not only master surfing and wave riding, but you will also learn basic practical and theoretical knowledge. Through our classes and workshops, we will explain everything you need to know about the best surfing techniques and terms, as well as the materials and manufacturing process used for surfboards.

The surf camp for children and adults is run with the help of instructors. There is no age limit to learn at Berria Surf School.

With exercises in and out of the water, you will soon learn the correct posture and paddling, as well as the best waves to surf.

We also offer you the option of video correction, that is, recording your exercises in the water. This is a good way to learn by watching your own mistakes.

LEARN ENGLISH OR SPANISH IN OUR SURF CAMP

One of our most productive surf camp activities is language teaching. Learn a second language while you learn the basics of surfing thanks to our English courses for Spanish speakers and Spanish for foreigners, all guided by professional experts in language teaching.

In addition, in our surf camp for children we offer you the best environment for learning languages, as foreigners and people of a wide variety of nationalities participate in them.

Not only do we offer you the chance to understand Spanish through a theoretical study methodology based on a specific level of the language, but we also offer students the opportunity to practise it with others..

In the same way, the surf camp for adults is an option to improve or learn a language from scratch. Keep in mind that English or Spanish is nowadays a fundamental element for our curriculum and can offer us many job opportunities in the future.

 And learning it, if you can meet people from different cultures, is much more effective, as you also have the opportunity to learn other values and traditions.

SURF-SKATE CLASSES

The Surf-skate is one of the most striking activities of our Berria surf camp as it combines two very popular sports. This is a way of learning the basics of surfing out of the water, by practising with skateboards similar to surfboards. The aim is to go from asphalt to water in order to have skill and control from the start.

In the process you will learn to skate from scratch, if you don't know how, so it's one more skill you take away. You will get to carve, propel and brake thanks to our Surf-skate instructors.

You can also enjoy our mini ramp on Berria beach, where you can do this activity safely with the right equipment.

YOGA LESSONS

In our camps we don't only offer surf-related activities, in fact you can also attend yoga classes. This is an ideal opportunity to relax and take care of yourself.

Learn the main body postures, the ways to understand and move your limbs and learn the breathing of yoga from a trainer specialised in this discipline.
